WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE BE IN THIS OPPORTUNITY? - Carrying out preventive maintenance plans for all machinery and equipment; - Planning the acquisition of parts, stock management and warehousing; - Diagnose breakdowns and problems that occur in the machines/equipment under your care; - Knowing/learning how to work with all the machines that regrind/tune the cutting units; - Realise and manage the budget for the maintenance of all the equipment/machines for which they are responsible; - Keeping correct and up-to-date records of all the actions carried out on the machines. As well as their associated costs; - Keeping up to date in professional terms to ensure that we are doing the best we can in maintaining our equipment; - Being part of projects involving the renovation of workshops and machine warehouses; - Ensuring that all equipment repair/maintenance work is carried out with maximum safety and in compliance with current legislation; - Making environmental sustainability vital; - Managing all the stock of parts, tools and consumables in the workshops; - Managing waste from machine/equipment maintenance (oils, filters, tyres, scrap metal, etc.); - Managing a team of several mechanics, promoting a productive, safe and clean working environment; - Theoretical knowledge of safety and operation of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems and maintenance of cutting equipment such as grinding, sharpening and adjusting; - Diagnose mechanical problems and implement appropriate preventive maintenance work programmes; - Purchases equipment and parts within budget guidelines. Purchases must be authorised by the Agronomy Director prior to purchase; - Completes reports and documentation as required; - In coordination with the Director of Agronomy and Human Resources: hiring, training, developing and evaluating personnel in an effective and timely manner;
- At least 5 years' experience working in machine/mobile fleet management (responsibility and coordination of teams of mechanics and/or similar).- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar (preferred);
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal);- Ability to write reports;- Ability to operate any golf course maintenance machine/equipment properly and safely;- Extensive knowledge in the repair and maintenance of golf course machinery/equipment;
- Extensive knowledge of tools, supplies and materials for machine repair;
- Ability to recognise, communicate and/or solve maintenance and/or equipment/machine repair challenges;
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
- Ability to lead a team of more than 10 mechanics;
- Be flexible and have the ability to adapt to new needs;
- Knowledge of Word and Excel;
- Ability to acquire knowledge of specific software for managing golf course equipment.
