The Portugal Masters returns in 2022 to Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course

 

The Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course will once again host the most important golf tournament in Portugal! The Portugal Masters 2022 is confirmed from October 27th to 30th, with the Pro-Am on the 26th and prize money of 1.75 million euros.

It will be the 16th consecutive edition of the most important golf tournament in Vilamoura, the only one to integrate the so-called first division of European professional golf. Created in 2007, it has been played every year on the Dom Pedro Victoria golf course, designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer.

 

Portugal Masters 2022

The quality of the golf facilities and tourist infrastructures that now exist in Portugal are recognised by the Portugal Masters, which allows the country to host the elite of golf professionals.

The Portugal Masters has been a huge success since 2007 and, with its presence on the DP Tour's European Circuit, reinforces the Algarve's position as one of the best golfing destinations in the world.

The Portugal Masters 2022 will have worldwide coverage by the international press, with an estimated 40,000 spectators attending the event.

 

Winner of the Portugal Masters 2021

Belgian golfer Thomas Pieters was the winner of the Portugal Masters 2021, with a total of 19-strokes under par, having achieved his fifth title on the DP World Tour.

Pieters finished with a lead of two-strokes to hold off the challenges thrown down by Frenchman Matthieu Pavon and the Danish duo, Lucas Bjerregaard (2017 champion) and Nicolai Højgaard.
