Dom Pedro Hotel Group was created 40 years ago by an Italian businessman, Pietro Saviotti, who opened the first property on the island of Madeira. Since then, his son Stefano Saviotti, turned the Dom Pedro Hotel Group into one of the first successful Portuguese hotel chains, giving a large contribution to the development of the tourism industry in Portugal.

Dom Pedro Hotels has grown into a well respected hotel chain with 8 landmark (three, four and five-star properties) in Continental Portugal, islands and Brazil.
