Shopping
Lisbon is also a city for shopping, where you can choose between traditional shops and modern shopping malls. The best parts for shopping is the pedestrians area between Praça do Comércio and Largo S. Domingos Here you’ll find lots of fashionable shops with all the great international brands. If you really want to spend a lot of money, go shopping on the Avenida da Liberdade. The best tourist shops are around the Castello S. Jorge, if you want to buy some local specialties, you’d better go to Bairro Alto and avoid the touristical highlights.

AVENIDA DA LIBERDADE Lisbon's main boulevard
This boulevard, built in the 19th century in the style of the Champs-Elysees in Paris, is the main avenue of the city.  It runs north for a mile (1.6km) from Restauradores to Marquês de Pombal Square, and is more than 300 feet (90m) wide. Attractions
One of the best ways to get to know the city is by trying out some trainlines. Lisbon still has a few old cars running through its small streets as well as some new ones to Belém. They seem to belong to a lost era and are really popular amongst both tourists and locals. In particular, it is worth taking tram number 28 for its entire journey.

A large bus system connects all main attractions that are not reachable by trams. The Elevador de Santa Justa is a large outdoor lift from the end of a road to a level about half way up - very picturesque. The Elevador de Gloria is a funicular up from near Rossio station to the Bairro Alto. To the right at the top is a view point across the lower city and up to the Castelo on the other side.

The electric train provides visitors with a pleasant trip around the Parque das Nações. The train route starts and ends at Alameda dos Oceanos, in front of the Atlantic Pavilion.

It offers a multiplicity of attractions to its visitors, including:
